Sur La Rue Houston Fashion Week

I certainly wasn’t expecting the likes of anyone such as Suzy Menkes or Jefferson Hack. Maybe Ken Downing. And that’s not a shot, Neiman Marcus happened to be one of the many impressive sponsers. But when Net-A-Porter invited Hilltop Glossy to attend, of course we couldn’t refuse, it’s fashion week! We were greeted by two adorable shaggy bears. A homage to Chanel’s iceberg!? Front row: George and Barbara.

One thing you will never hear in New York… “Why is Lauren Bush here??” Don’t ask. Uninformed Twitter fail. Houston native, Lauren Bush, presented her first ever fashion week runway show Lauren Pierce. Her stylish combination of philanthropy and fashion is admirable. Who doesn’t want to feed children and sport a FEED Trick-or-Treat bag!?

Congo hand-dyed scarf from Lauren Pierce.

Lela Rose paired her contemporary runway looks with her new affordable Lela Rose for Payless shoe line.

Gorgeous drapes from Halston Heritage at the Net-A-Porter show.

A tiered chiffon skirt from Lela Rose.

Fifties Beatnik. Isabel Marant’s sequined-embellished leggings and D&G’s rabbit and wool jacket at the Net-A-Porter show.
